I know that it's after the election but I just find this video to hilarious to pass up.

The video opens with a parody on McCain's smear add against Obama win which he accuses Barack of being too much of a celebrity to lead our country while showing clips of Paris Hilton and other such starlets. After the sequence we see Paris sitting pool side on a lawn chair in a typical “Paris style” bikini soaking up some rays. In the course of the video she decides to accept the idea of running for president. She even goes as far to offer a surprisingly smart idea for an energy policy, which she holds off on saying for a bit because she needs to find the perfect place to tan and, “loves it.” She makes a few more snarky remarks in the rest of the duration of the video and then closes with the not so typical statement, “I’m Paris Hilton and I approved this message because it’s totally hot.”

Looking outside of the world of just this video, the folks at funny or die had made quite an impact after releasing this video. CNN did several stories covering McCain’s smear tactics and even touched on the thought of celebrities getting political. On a personal note I never heard the Republican Party complaining when Sarah Palin was labeled a rock star.
